Begonia ‘Torsa’ is grown for its exceptionally large, asymmetric green leaves. Their generous surface creates a striking contrast with delicate ferns and narrow-leaved companions. Pale pink flowers arrive in late summer, hovering above the foliage with a surprisingly light touch. Give it a sheltered spot where the leaves can spread and show off their full shape.
Growing conditions:
Provide partial shade and fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, sheltered from drying winds. Protect the crown generously in winter, or overwinter frost-free where local conditions are too cold for reliable outdoor survival.
Maximum size:
Approximately 50–100 cm tall and wide, with individual leaves potentially reaching around 45 cm long.
