Lavandula angustifolia ‘Lady’ combines aromatic grey-green foliage with upright spikes of lavender-blue flowers. Its compact habit makes it a lovely choice for edging a sunny path or filling a pot where you can enjoy the scent close up. The soft colouring slips easily into cottage gardens and Mediterranean-inspired planting. It offers that unmistakable lavender atmosphere without needing a whole field to make an impression.
Growing conditions:
Plant in full sun in sharply drained soil or gritty, peat-free potting compost. Trim lightly after flowering, avoiding cuts into old bare wood, and keep the roots out of winter waterlogging.
Maximum size:
Typically around 30–45 cm tall and wide, depending on conditions and trimming.
