Rudbeckia fulgida

Rudbeckia fulgida produces glowing golden flowers around deep brown centres above a sturdy clump of green leaves. Its display carries the border from summer into early autumn, when fresh colour is especially welcome. The simple flower shape works beautifully with grasses and airy purple-flowered plants. Plant it in groups for a generous sweep of warmth rather than a solitary splash.

Growing conditions:
Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water during prolonged dry spells, especially while plants are establishing.

Approximately 50–100 cm tall and wide.
