Colocasia Pink China

Colocasia ‘Pink China’ carries large, heart-shaped green leaves on upright pink-flushed stalks. The contrast becomes especially attractive when light catches the stems beneath the leafy canopy. It is one of the more cold-tolerant colocasias, although winter survival still depends on protection and local conditions. Give it moisture and summer warmth, and it brings a wonderfully lush feel to a border or large pot.

Growing conditions:
Grow in sun or light shade with shelter, fertile soil and generous watering and feeding during active growth. After frost kills the leaves, apply a deep, dry mulch in mild sites or lift and overwinter the dormant rhizome frost-free in colder areas.

Maximum size:
Around 120 cm tall and approximately 60–100 cm wide, with established colonies spreading further through offsets.
