Crocosmia ‘Zeal Giant’ rises above a clump of sword-shaped green leaves with strong, gracefully arching flower stems. Salmon-orange tubular flowers open along the stems in mid to late summer, with darker markings adding detail. Its impressive height makes it a useful bridge between lower perennials and larger foliage plants. Plant it in a generous group to bring movement and warm colour to a spacious border.
Growing conditions:
Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water during prolonged dry spells and divide congested clumps when flowering begins to decline.
Maximum size:
Typically around 150–180 cm tall in flower and 50–100 cm wide; particularly vigorous clumps may grow taller.
