Agave victoriae-reginae is prized for its tightly arranged leaves and striking white line markings. The rounded rosette has a wonderfully precise appearance, making it a natural feature for a simple pot. Its slow growth and compact scale suit collectors and gardeners with limited space. Give it an uncluttered setting and the intricate leaf pattern becomes the centre of attention.
Growing conditions:
Grow in bright light or full sun in sharply draining cactus compost, acclimatising plants to strong outdoor sun gradually. Keep almost dry in winter and overwinter frost-free.
Maximum size:
Approximately 30–50 cm tall and wide for the mature rosette; very old plants may produce a flower spike up to around 400 cm.
