Kitaibelia vitifolia forms a substantial clump of upright stems clothed in large, lobed green leaves. White to palest pink, saucer-shaped flowers appear from midsummer into early autumn. The simple blooms have a soft charm that sits comfortably among bold foliage or cottage-garden perennials. Give it enough space and it becomes a handsome, informal backdrop rather than a plant that needs constant fussing.
Growing conditions:
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade, keeping it watered while establishing. A sheltered position helps support its tall growth.
Maximum size:
Approximately 150–250 cm tall and wide.
