Santolina rosmarinifolia forms a compact evergreen shrub with finely divided, bright green leaves. Yellow button-like flowers rise above the foliage in summer, adding a simple, cheerful accent. Its rounded shape is useful for giving a gravel garden or sunny border a sense of rhythm. Plant it near softer grasses or upright flowers to make the most of the contrast.

Growing conditions:
Grow in full sun in well-drained soil, avoiding damp, heavy winter conditions. Trim after flowering to maintain a compact shape without cutting deeply into bare old wood.

Maximum size:
Usually around 50–60 cm tall, with an eventual spread of approximately 50–100 cm.
