Verbascum nigrum var. album sends upright flower stems above a rosette of textured green leaves. Small white flowers open along the stems, each with a contrasting cluster of purple stamens. The effect is light and elegant, making it easy to thread between lower perennials. It is a lovely choice when you want vertical accents that blend naturally into a relaxed border.
Growing conditions:
Grow in sun or light partial shade in well-drained soil, ideally neutral to alkaline. Avoid waterlogged ground and leave some seedheads if you would welcome seedlings.
Maximum size:
Approximately 70–100 cm tall and up to 50 cm wide.
